Fall is one of the most beautiful times a year in Canada. With crisp air caressing our faces, to stunning leaves changing colour left and right, what’s not to love?
The only thing to note is that seasonal changes and barometric pressure changes often shift many things inside us all. If we don’t watch ourselves, we may begin to feel ungrounded or lethargic.
Fall is a time for nesting for the winter, a time for caring for our bodies in preparation for the colder elements.
Here’s how you can optimize your mental and physical health as we drift into autumn:
· Cook lots of vegan soups
· Practice hatha yoga in the morning
· Light a candle and take an evening bath with essential oils
· Keep a gratitude journal
· Get at least 7 hours of sleep
· Drink warming ginger tea
· Begin to eat more root vegetables
