As a yoga teacher, I’ve found immense pleasure in delving into and expanding my knowledge about the practice. From adopting the yogic principles into my everyday life, to studying each pose for all that they have to offer – yoga is my inspiration.

Therefore, each month on the blog I’ll be giving you a taste of what you need to know about a specific pose, in the hopes that my writing will help strengthen and motivate your practice:

Physical Benefits

* Full Body Workout: When engaged in crow pose, you strengthen your wrists, upper back, arms, core muscles, and legs.

* Tones Abdominal Organs: Due to the way your stomach is positioned during crow, you receive an additional abdominal organ massage that works to tone!

Mental Benefits

* Facing your Fears: Due to the fact that crow pose forces you to support your weight on your hands while facing the floor, it can be a little unnerving at first. However, if you become aware of your body and focus on trusting yourself to hold to pose properly instead of fearing an impending and unlikely face plant, you’re golden!
