Alternative ways to find the Calm of Meditation in your Life

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the topic of meditation. It seems to me like the people I speak to about the practice either love it or hate it! While some of my students have been asking me to incorporate longer and more guided savasanas, some folks really resent the idea of having to sit still in the present moment.

Say what you want about meditation, but I would make the case that we all meditate in our own way each and everyday. Here are some alternative ways to find the calm of meditation in your life that you may already be doing:

· Washing the dishes

· Gardening

· Peaceful nature walks

· Running

· Tai chi

· Yoga

· Evening bike rides

· Taking soothing baths
