Your home is your haven. Regardless of whether or not your home is a permanent living situation, or a stepping-stone to another, you always want to ensure that you’re taking the best possible care of your space. Coming home from a long day of work to a place that we do not feel at ease in is one of those worst feelings.
A few years ago we renovated our bathroom to include a soaker tub with air jets, and whenever my daughters are around, they always find some excuse to need to take a bath! And I think most of us in the wellness community would agree, there’s nothing quite like it. Lighting some candles and taking a bath is one of the top self-care activities to help restore balance and enable relaxation.
As a yoga teacher, I’m keenly aware of how our breath can impact both our yoga practice and our mental state. This can often lead to insomnia, a common reason why some of my fellow yogis start to practice. But sometimes in my classes, usually near the beginning, I witness a lot of shallow breathing.

And what would October be without its signature drink, the pumpkin spice latte? This delicious concoction can be one of the most comforting beverages to sip on during the season, but only if done right.
